Miracle at St. Anna

This is the new Spike Lee joint that releases tomorrow. With Spike Lee films you never know what you are going to get. His films walk a narrow line that are sometimes controversial and sometimes just makes you scratch your head and say, "what is he doing". I am excited about this one though.
Set in 1944, 4 African Americans are trapped deep behind enemy German lines. This film touches on what Americans will do for freedom and also touches on the intense racism that was rampant at this time in our country. In an age where some war movies (and, you could suggest, even some wars) are made to be briefly contemplated and then forgotten, that alone should tell you that Miracle at St. Anna is worth watching for yourself.Go check out this flick when you get a chance and decide yourself. Spike Lee never fully disappoints!
